If you live in Austin and you have a knife that seems to be getting dull, I highly recommend the Knife Sharpist. It only cost $3.50 to have my chef's knife sharpened and now it's like new. There are open boxes of knives on the floor, so beware with kids! It's on Burnet near 45th.
