Maryland

We just got home from ten days in Maryland and we had such a great time with our family there. We coordinated our trip with Mike's family so all the cousins got to play together, and it was fabulous! All the big cousins are so sweet to our little kids, being patient with them and carrying them around. They would all jump on the trampoline together and if it got to rough for Dane, he would sit down and say 'Shhh' and everyone would stop for him. They are the best big cousins he could have!

We went to Dutch Wonderland, a kiddie amusement park in PA. After we rode this spaceship flight simulator Blake said, "Not fun, not fun, not fun at all" but of course now he talks like he loved it. He and Marcus are best buddies!

You can just barely see Dane's head in this picture -- he kept slinking down in his seat, just barely keeping his eyes above the airplane.

One of several attempts at a group picture of all the cousins. This was in Baltimore where Brent and I had great crabcake sandwiches, and we rode some paddle boats in the harbor.

The boys love riding Bumpa's tractor. I did notice some aluminum foil and duct tape around the engine so I'm not sure how many more chances they'll have at this!

These two love doing projects. Marcus asked me if they could do a project with food and he wanted flour and sugar but I suggested sailboats with apples and cheese. It was cute at first but they turned into Come Near and Get Impaled Death Ships.

What was so funny? No telling.

My kid looks his best in a wife beater. You can't see it but he's wearing his 14 year old cousin's boxer briefs, held up with a ponytail band. And that's the kind of people we are.
