A Special Visit to School

We had a special day at Blake's school recently and Barbara and Susan got to come with us...

Barbara, Blake and Susan posed with Blake's family project on flags. He's loved flags for a long time so we made a bunch of them out of different materials and learned a fact about the country they represent. One favorite was the Amercan flag cake we made for a neighbor who is a veteran, as Blake says, "of the Civil War."

Blake's class sang some songs, recited from Hebrews, and did their vowel chants for us. I love how Blake tries to pull in his smile and be cool. Bandanas aren't a usual part of the uniform, but that would be very Texan.



We walked through the path in the woods to Regents' nature center for a picnic.

The kids love to catch little minnows in the pond with nets. Such good memories with his buddies.
